A little more about King’s Arms Project…
First created in 1989, King’s Arms Project is a charity organisation from Bedford. The organisation was created in response to seeing people sleeping on the street.
The main goal of the King’s Arms Project is to tackle homelessness, isolation, and displacement in Bedford and other local areas. They look to help the homeless or people who are at risk of homelessness. They do this by providing professional advice, providing person-centred support, running a helpline, and supplying accommodation. They also run a refugee and migrant advice service that offers free legal advice and support to refugees.
King’s Arms Project was first founded on a biblical mandate for social justice. But now, the business has grown as a charity. And it’s supported by its local community and the National Government.
What was the security risk?
This case study is a great example of our static security guard services.
Workplace safety is important for charity organisations. Many volunteers face incidents of abuse, violence, and harassment. So, charities must be well protected.
An excellent way to stop these threats is security guards. Security officers are trained in conflict resolution and are taught to handle many types of situations. Guards will safely intervene in any disputes before they turn into violent conflicts. In addition to this, guards also supply businesses with a safer working environment.
King’s Arms Project were looking for some additional security coverage. So, they reached out to us. We quickly got in touch with them and sent them a tailored security solution that suited their needs.
How did we help them?
Region Security Guarding has been working with King’s Arms Project since December 2023. We supply them with a security guard to keep the organisation safe.
Our guard’s main duty is protecting the volunteers, and anyone visiting the charity. Our guards provide King’s Arms Project with a strong security presence to deter criminals. This strong security presence is also used to create a safer working environment.
We ensure that our security guards are fully trained and have the right experience. We make sure our guards are well-versed in conflict resolution. If an issue arises at the charity, our guards will safely handle the incident. They will do this through using communication and de-escalation techniques.
